The Scientific Operations Team are committed to providing responsible and flexible teams to support academic priorities throughout LICAMM. We do this through our dedicated team of technical staff who engage in varied activities to support research and teaching. You will join a team of highly skilled, professionals, working autonomously but also as part of a team to provide laboratory support and/or specialist technical services.
You should be qualified to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject, or equivalent experience working in a scientific research or teaching environment and have experience in leading/coaching and/or training small groups of people with limited guidance from a line manager or academic lead. You will also have knowledge of contracts and contractor management, and an high level of understanding the health and safety in a buildings and laboratory management environment, with the ability to work safely. In addition, you will also have good organisational and communication skills, a flexible outlook to train in and tackle a variety of tasks and the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
