Midday Assistant
St Teresa's Primary School is seeking to appoint one or two enthusiastic, hardworking and kind lunchtime assistants to join our friendly midday team. The role involves supervising children during lunch, ensuring their safety and happiness, and fostering positive play and relationships.
Working time: 7.5 hours per week (11:45 am to 1:15 pm) across 38 teaching weeks plus 5.8 paid holidays, for a total of 43.8 paid weeks per year.
* Promote positive play experiences and opportunities during the lunch break.
* Encourage and foster positive relationships between children.
* Encourage good dining room practices.
* Promote and encourage group games.
* Communicate effectively with children.
* Remain patient, understanding and kind at all times.
Requirements:
* Friendly, supportive and kind character.
* Experience working with children (desirable but not mandatory).
* Capability to supervise around 40 pupils.
* Successful enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check required.
