Position Overview:
This role analyzes the work environment, culture, and policies to improve Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) performance, focusing 75% on H&S and 25% on Environmental. It includes workplace inspections to ensure compliance and involves designing, implementing, training, and auditing HSE programs to prevent injuries, illnesses, and environmental impacts.
What you will be doing:
* Plan, organize, and monitor on-site HSE risks and controls, liaising with management and staff for compliance.
* Lead and support compliance with H&S policies, procedures, and standards.
* Develop and maintain HSE & ERT procedures.
* Participate in / Lead HSE incident investigations.
* Conduct all HSE training sessions.
* Handle daily field audits such as LCPs and My Check 5s.
* Participate in risk assessments (PHA, CTA, JSA).
* Provide quarterly HSE reports on training programs.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
* 8+ years’ experience in chemical plant/refinery sectors preferred.
* 4+ years’ experience in multiple HSE areas preferred.
* Knowledge of UK/European HSE regulations and compliance techniques.
* Familiarity with industry standards (API, ISO, etc.).
* Experience in Incident Investigation, Emergency Response, and risk management.
* Ability to work under pressure and communicate effectively.
