My client is a multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy practice providing aprehensive range of services in landscape architecture, archaeology, arboriculture, and ecology.
Their arboriculture project base varies but the majority is construction-based work including residential development and health & safety consultancy, as well as woodland management plans and tree preservation order / conservation advice.
Your new role
1. Conduct arboricultural surveys and assessments in accordance with BS:5837 and other relevant standards.
2. Prepare detailed technical reports, including Arboricultural Impact Assessments (AIA) and Arboricultural Method Statements (AMS).
3. Assist in the preparation of tree protection plans and provide on-site supervision during construction activities to ensurepliance with tree protection measures.
4. Liaise with clients, contractors, and local authorities to provide expert advice on tree management and preservation.
5. Utilise GIS and other mapping tools to accurately record and present survey data.
6. Stay updated with current industry practices, legislation, and guidelines related to arboriculture and environmental consultancy.
What you'll need to succeed
7. A degree or equivalent qualification in Arboriculture, Forestry, or a related field.
8. Experience conducting BS:5837 surveys.
9. Strong knowledge of UK tree species, tree health, and risk assessment methodologies.
10. Proficiency in using GIS software and other relevant tools for data collection and analysis.
11. Excellent written and verbalmunication skills.
12. A full, clean UK driving license and willingness to travel to various project sites.
