Technical Support Specialist - Point of Care Devices
Location: Office-based (Nuneaton)
Hours: Monday–Thursday 09:00–17:00, Friday 09:00–16:00
Salary: Competitive basic + bonus

The Role
We’re seeking a Technical Support Specialist with a background in biomedical science, healthcare, or a related field to join a quality-focused technical team. While the position is based in a lab-like environment, it is primarily administrative and focused on device auditing, technical troubleshooting, and quality assurance rather than traditional lab work. You will play a key role in supporting healthcare clients, maintaining product standards, and assisting with regulatory audit preparation. Full product training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the day-to-day operation of a quality control function, including internal and external quality controls.
* Provide technical support to healthcare customers via a ticketing system, phone, and MS Teams.
* Deliver both online and in-person training sessions on medical devices to clients.
* Carry out technical testing and quality assurance checks on diagnostic devices.
* Prepare technical documentation including SOPs, guides, reports, and presentations.
* Support audit readiness and compliance with relevant quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 13485).
* Collaborate with internal teams to drive improvements and share insights.
What We’re Looking For
* Degree or experience in biomedical science, healthcare, or a technical medical field.
* Experience with medical devices, diagnostics, or technical customer support is preferred.
* Comfortable in a structured, administrative environment with strong attention to detail.
* Clear communicator able to explain technical concepts to healthcare professionals.
* Competent using Microsoft Office; knowledge of ticketing systems such as SAP is a plus.
* Understanding of quality systems such as ISO 9001 / ISO 13485 is desirable but not essential.
