Responsibilities and duties Reporting to the Lead BoP Engineer, you will be responsible for: * Assisting with delivering effective outage strategies and management of projects * Optimising the planned maintenance strategy to meet stakeholders needs to maximise plant reliability and minimise downtime * Provide technical expertise and guidance to other departments in relation to Balance of Plant (BoP) with a focus on maximising efficiency, plant performance and safety * Provide technical governance, guidance and industry best practice including compliance with PSSR and statutory inspections Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: * Ideally a Degree in a Mechanical Engineering discipline however, would consider those with a HND/HNC/NVQ Level 3, etc. * A formal Health and Safety qualification such as IOSH will be advantageous but not a necessity Personal skills, prior experience and knowledge The BoP Mechanical Engineer role would suit someone who has: * Prior Mechanical Engineering experience working in heavy process engineering environments such as Power Stations, Paper Mills, Top Tier COMAH sites, Refineries, Petrochemicals, etc. * Experience working with Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG) would be advantageous * Knowledge of Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR) will be advantageous * Demonstrate the ability to successful manage teams Salary and benefits of the BoP Mechanical Engineer role * A starting basic salary of �50,100 - �75,100 * Performance related bonus * Other excellent benefits Astute People are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
