Site Services Operator
Summary of the Site Services Operator role
As the Site Services Operator you will report directly to the Site Services Supervisor where the main purpose of your role will be to provide the highest level of cleaning, hygiene service and grounds maintenance onsite in accordance with current standard operating procedures (SOP's) and to current good manufacturing practice (cGMP) to ensure high standards are maintained.
Your responsibilities
* Handling all equipment, cleaning chemicals and waste safely, as directed by your line manager and in accordance with site safe systems of work.
* Undertaking daily, weekly and periodic tasks in line with the site services department work schedule.
* Ensuring that signs are used at appropriate times in line with health and safety requirements (e.g. wet floors).
* Keeping the cleaning stores tidy and ensuring equipment is stored safely at all times.
* Attending training courses and meetings as necessary to maintain standards and assist in carrying out the job role efficiently.
* Providing cover in other areas in times of sickness and holidays.
* Ensuring all work equipment is kept clean and maintained in a safe working order, reporting any defects to the line manager.

Requirements for the role
* Driving licence is preferred but not essential.
* Must be able to safely use a range of basic tools and machinery, e.g. lawn mowers, strimmer's and compactors.
* Have a thorough understanding of hygiene and cleaning skills.
* Able to work as a lone worker anywhere on site as well as working as part of a team.
* Ability to identify and apply health and safety requirements, particularly the safe use of chemicals and equipment.
* Ability to understand verbal and written instructions and to communicate effectively with others.
