Our fabulous team in Dumfries is looking to expand their bank pool and is seeking compassionate and creative individuals with a positive attitude to join as Bank Support Practitioners.
Our bank contracts offer flexibility over the days and hours you work. Tell us when you're available, and we'll try to give you shifts that fit your schedule.
No prior experience in care is necessary to start your career with us; we recruit based on values and transferable skills. We will provide all the training needed to become an excellent Bank Support Practitioner.
Due to the nature of the services, we can only consider female candidates who hold a valid UK manual driving license and have access to their own car.
The Role
As a Bank Support Practitioner, you will play a vital role in our team by covering shifts to ensure high-quality, person-centred care during periods of leave, training, or sickness.
You will support individuals living in their own homes within the community, assisting with daily activities such as meal preparation, medication management, appointments, personal finances, moving and handling, and personal care. You will also provide emotional support and help maintain relationships with family and friends.
Our clients enjoy engaging in community activities like arts and crafts, sports events, dining out, and volunteering. You will be encouraged to take an active interest in their hobbies and support them in exploring new opportunities.
Requirements
* Empathetic and caring nature
* Good observation skills
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Confidence in using computers
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good organizational skills
Shift Patterns
Our team provides 24/7 support tailored to each individual's needs. Depending on shift length, you may support more than one person, with travel time factored into your hours. Shifts include early, day, late, and sleepover shifts.
