Job Description
This proactive sales role focuses on identifying and developing new customers within a defined sales region, with a clear emphasis on driving new business growth. You will be responsible for promoting and selling rooflight solutions to new accounts, converting enquiries into live opportunities, and building early‑stage relationships that support long‑term revenue. Working closely with the external sales team, the role also supports existing customers by identifying additional opportunities and increasing share of wallet. Success in the role comes from asking the right questions to uncover customer needs, understanding project requirements, and progressing opportunities through to order, with the objective of building a sustainable pipeline and delivering incremental sales growth within the region.
About The Role
· Develop clear, accurate and commercially appropriate written proposals and quotations for both new and existing customers, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and internal pricing structures.
· Achieve agreed annual sales targets and campaign deliverables through proactive sales activity, effective opportunity management and disciplined follow‑up.
· Prospect for new business within a defined sales region, engaging with both new customers and existing accounts to identify additional opportunities and support business growth.
· Manage and support customer orders through to completion, expediting the resolution of issues, queries or complaints to maintain service levels and protect customer relationships.
· Support customer engagement through telephone‑based selling, and where appropriate, participate in face‑to‑face or video‑based meetings to progress opportunities or support external sales activity.
· Maintain a strong working knowledge of products, applications and technical detail to enable confident, informed discussions with customers and support effective selling.
· Accurately record and manage all customer interactions, enquiries, opportunities and pipeline activity within the CRM system, ensuring visibility and continuity across the sales team.

* •A sound understanding of sales processes within a business to business environment, including handling enquiries, qualifying opportunities and progressing sales through to order.
* •An ability to learn and apply product, application and technical knowledge to hold effective, credible conversations with customers.
* •Strong communication and questioning skills, with the ability to build rapport, uncover customer needs and present appropriate solutions clearly and confidently.
* •Good listening skills and attention to detail, with a customer focused approach to both new and existing enquiries.
* •Confidence in engaging with customers primarily via telephone, with the ability to support occasional face to face or video based customer interaction.
* •Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple enquiries and opportunities at different stages simultaneously.
* •Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to supporting sales targets, campaign activity and business growth.
* •Experience of accurately maintaining customer data, enquiries and sales activity within a CRM system.
* •Previous experience in an internal sales, telesales or customer facing commercial role is desirable.
