Salary: £80 £110 per day (dependent on experience)

A warm and inclusive specialist school in St Albans is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team in September 2025. The school supports pupils with autism and complex needs, offering a structured, nurturing environment backed by a skilled multidisciplinary team.
About the Role:
This is a full-time, term-time role, perfect for someone with a caring, proactive attitude. Whether you're experienced in SEN or new to the field, you ll be welcomed into a team that prioritises collaboration, training, and pupil-focused support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with autism and related needs
* Assist in delivering individualised learning and therapy sessions
* Support pupils in developing communication, social, and life skills
* Promote emotional regulation and use positive behaviour strategies
* Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure consistent care
* Assist with personal care when needed
* Keep accurate records and contribute to progress reviews
What We re Looking For:
* SEN experience is desirable but not essential
* Calm, patient, and empathetic approach
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Willingness to learn and engage in CPD opportunities
* Dependable, flexible, and committed to inclusion
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
