The Role: Optimisation Senior Specialistis an experienced role within the FC Screening & Monitoring Shared Service with the responsibility to improve the performance, efficiency and effectiveness of in-scope screening systems used by the team.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Conduct ongoing analysis of in scope screening systems, processes and available data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
2. Develop and propose solutions to optimise system performance, including process improvements, automation and technology upgrades.
3. To manage & provide guidance in end to end screening process, inclusive of review of internal tool controls, test environments and its effectiveness
4. Calibrate screening systems to effectively screen for in-scope sanctions watchlists, PEPs, and their associates, considering risk levels and due diligence requirements.
5. Ensure screening systems are regularly updated with the latest sanctions lists from relevant authorities.
6. Collaborate with stakeholders to implement system solutions and changes, including defining system requirements and testing plans, to ensure minimal disruption and effective integration of changes.
7. Proactively identify and recommend ongoing improvements to maintain and enhance system efficiency and effectiveness.
8. To conduct & provide support in Independent 3rd party testing of screening tool to evidence screening tool effectiveness & fit for purpose
9. To develop working relationship with Screening tool vendor- Lexis Nexis Bridger, Data Feed provider World Compliance and Dow Jones, TCS Support Management Team, Swift Filter Testing team and others to effectively manage screening tool and its effectiveness
10. Conduct system calibration impact assessments to forecast where screening team FTE changes may be required.
11. Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and optimisation techniques.
12. Support transition of legacy books from AML rule & guidance inclusive of screening and adverse media perspective

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

13. Experience with financial crime screening systems, Lexis Bridger, World Check, Factiva, an others
14. Experience with calibrating screening systems, including adjusting thresholds, refining rules, and conducting scenario testing.
15. Ability to identify and analyse complex screening issues and develop creative solutions.
16. Excellent partnership and stakeholder management skills as well as build strong relationships and work collaboratively with teams across the business
17. Understanding of sanctions regulations, PEP lists, and other relevant compliance requirements.
18. Understanding of screening activities, including of sanctions, PEP and adverse media and risk associates with screening requirements
19. Sound communication skills and ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders within the team.
20. Experience of liaising, influencing and negotiating effectively with all internal and external parties /stakeholders
21. Familiarity with industry best practices and regulatory expectations specific to the business.
22. Sound organisational and coordination capability to deliver and embed change management
23. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish credibility and strong partnership with business partners and clients when required
24. Good knowledge of industry best practice, good networks/links with external bodies and individuals
25. Understanding of KYC/AML regulations and best practices.
