The Role
The Warehouse Operations Manager will play a critical role in leading all activities across the operation, working closely with the site General Manager at their flagship site in Bedford.
This position offers an exciting opportunity with significant autonomy for an experienced logistics and supply chain professional to be at the forefront of a rapidly expanding organization.
Core Responsibilities
* Oversee end-to-end supply chain management, including procurement, inventory control, and demand planning.
* Manage a team of approximately 100 indirect reports and 8 direct reports.
* Optimize logistics operations to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
* Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, logistics partners, and stakeholders to enhance performance and efficiency.
* Ensure accurate stock levels, reduce waste, and improve inventory forecasting.
* Oversee customer order fulfillment to ensure on-time, in-full deliveries while maintaining excellent service.
* Monitor and analyze supply chain KPIs to drive continuous improvements.
* Manage warehouse operations, layout, stock movement, and safety compliance.
* Identify process improvements and cost reduction opportunities without compromising quality.
* Collaborate with production, sales, and finance teams to align strategies.
* Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental, and industry regulations, managing risks across the supply chain.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
* Essential experience in logistics, distribution, and supply chain management.
* Experience managing teams of over 100 indirect and 8 direct reports.
* At least 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience in logistics and supply chain operations.
* 3PL warehouse experience.
* Experience with budgetary and P&L responsibilities (advantageous).
* Strong leadership and team development skills.
* Excitement for large-scale growth challenges.
* Ability to commute to Bedford five days a week.
Salary & Benefits
* Salary: £45,000 - £50,000.
* 25 days plus 8 bank holidays.
