What will I be doing?
This is a 42-hour contract per week, with Monday – Thursday 06:00 – 16:00 working hours.
We'll look to you to:
1. Follow predefined daily routes to collect water samples from estuaries, rivers, and wastewater treatment works.
2. Ensure samples are bottled, stored, and transported under refrigerated conditions to a drop-off location in Exeter.
3. Adhere to strict sampling protocols to maintain sample integrity (training will be provided).
SUEZ are recruiting dedicated members of sampling staff to contribute to the Chemicals Investigation Programme (CIP4), a national initiative to monitor concentrations of chemicals in our natural environment and introduce control measures to help mitigate their effects.
What are the requirements?
This is a dynamic role for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has a keen eye for detail, and can follow set procedures:
4. UK driving licence with confidence in driving vans through rural areas.
5. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
6. Previous experience in water sampling is desirable but not essential.
7. HSE training/certification are desired, however can be provided.
8. The role requires person with attention to detail.
