We are currently seeking a Field Support Engineer with technical elevator knowledge and experience of our major competitors’ products to join our pioneering team in Manchester.
Responsibilities
* Provide remote technical support to TKE field technicians across Europe, with occasional travel to give on‑site support when required
* Get involved in research about new control systems and digital solutions
* Assist in the development of training simulators and product test rigs
* Undertake training as necessary to be at the forefront of industry and technological developments
* Deliver training courses to field engineers from across Europe
* Assist with the preparation of product support content for field use
Qualifications
* Proven experience working as a field support engineer
* A subject matter expert in one or more of our major competitors’ product lines
* Excellent communication skills: verbal, telephone and written
* Positive attitude, capable of working under pressure as part of a team
* Confident in using your own initiative and proactive thinking outside of the box
* An investigative mind set that approaches issues from all angles, especially for the purpose of identifying workarounds for ongoing incidents
* Demonstrated exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills
* NVQ3 (or similar) qualification an advantage
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* It is desirable if you have language skills, especially in French (Italian or German can also be considered)
