Our Streets Team have a vacancy within our Liverpool office for an Associate Director with relevant experience in leading the delivery of a broad range of traffic and highway engineering projects and being responsible for work winning activities. The successful candidate will share our ethos of developing impactful design solutions and delivering high levels of service to assist with the growth of our Liverpool and Northern Streets business by enhancing existing and developing new client relationships. The Streets team provide feasibility, concept, preliminary and detailed design, community engagement, project delivery and construction management services on a wide range of multi-discipline transportation and urban realm projects. You will be joining a strong team who are recognised as market leaders in the transportation sector including in active travel, public transport, bus priority and general traffic engineering. In addition to delivering work within the local office, the role will involve working closely with other AECOM teams across the northern region and across the wider UK & Ireland business, with opportunity for international working. Here’s what we’re looking for: A successful track record in the management and delivery of a portfolio of traffic engineering projects - particularly sustainable infrastructure projects and roads/traffic engineering projects - ensuring technical content and quality of output produced is in line with the project brief. Following successful accreditation on the AECOM project management system, your will act as a Project Director/Project Manager including monitoring financial performance and key performance indicators. Comprehensive training on AECOM’s project management system will be provided. Evidence of work winning; client relationship building, being alert to commercial opportunities, identifying emerging opportunities and developing strategies to secure work and develop work opportunities. Demonstrative evidence of taking ownership in preparing detailed proposals, client briefs and fee proposals and contribute to or lead bids. You will also work with colleagues to deliver marketing and business development objectives in both the local region and nationally. A proven ability to manage a team, with strong leadership skills and the ability to develop and maintain a highly motivated project delivery team. This includes being a pro-active Line Manager, managing career progression of line reports, and supporting and monitoring team skills to ensure they are up to date with current best practice, techniques, and innovation. An ability to establish strong working relationships with other internal teams across AECOM’s business lines. Practitioner in the use of DMRB, MfS, local authority design guidance’s, LTN’s and the MCHW Technical Expertise: You will have an ability to demonstrate high level of technical experience and expertise in one or more of the following areas: Detailed design of municipal engineering schemes Traffic engineering design (concept through to detail) Cycling and walking design (concept through to detail) Bus priority and BRT (concept through to detail) Collision analysis / road safety audits Site experience (preferred but not essential)
