A forward thinking and ambitious family business are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, organised, commercially strong, and pro-active Senior Development Manager to deliver new business growth, expand into new sectors, build and maintain customer relationships, upsell, onboard new business wins, and drive sales. Up to £45k DOE + Car / Car Allowance Performance-based bonus £20k+ OTE 29 days annual leave + option to purchase more Company pension scheme Staff discount on products Team social events The opportunity to work and grow with a business Onsite parking Role Purpose: To drive new business by finding, developing, and closing sales opportunities. You'll manage the full sales cycle and work closely with the wider team to deliver strong, values-led growth. Present and negotiate contracts with clients and ensure customer retention. The job: It is anticipated that the post-holder will most influence the job purpose by: ·Researching and identifying through outreach (LinkedIn, e-mail, phone, events, etc.) new business opportunities to build a strong and robust pipeline – identifying new market strategies, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services - or new ways of engaging existing markets. ·Owning the new business pipeline from conception to completion, including reviewing and implementing new ways of working to streamline processes. ·You are comfortable in front of the camera and able to present engaging content to existing and new customers on social platforms, such as LinkedIn, to expand Paragon’s reach and visibility. ·Understanding products, sectors and customers, while continually developing the company’s knowledge base in these areas to improve the value proposition. ·Continually improve product knowledge and seek customer insight to identify and target sales opportunities, market trends and buyer objections. ·Fully understand our offering and the needs of your customers and prospects, utilising your commercial acumen to develop and convert customer proposals and opportunities. ·Work with management to build sales forecasts including seasonality and account analysis through effectively utilising the Company’s ERP systems to provide useful, transparent management information, and informing key decisions on sales and marketing strategies. ·Identify sales opportunities through account analysis and targeting relevant product / category opportunities to meet monthly sales budgets utilising all data sources available including Excel, Hubspot and the company ERP. ·Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships. Developing trusted advisor relationships with customers and ensuring regular call structure in place for all key accounts. ·Work with the Head of Business Development and broader team to transfer new accounts into business as usual, ensuring great ongoing customer service. ·Managing existing and new customers using an organised, planned approach. ·Demonstrate to teams or individuals from both management and operator levels at various locations of key accounts as required. ·As appropriate, schedule account reviews and produce tangible outputs such as KPIs, SLA, actions and minutes. About You: You’re a professional and energetic personality that means you are driven by the challenge and enjoy working with people. Ambitious, commercially astute and able to see the big picture, with a willingness to learn new skills and put them to the test. As a key member of the Sales Team, you can influence at a senior level and possess excellent communication and analytical skills while being able to work on your own initiative. You are comfortable working with both C-suite and operation level customers. You are adaptable to different styles to suit personalities, plus adapt your work to provide detail to suit the audience, whether it be internally or externally. You are hungry to drive change and not afraid to break boundaries to push the agenda. You want to be involved and always seek to find the solution to problems put your way, whether it be driven out of collaboration, silo efforts, or working with customers. Relationship building and accuracy are professional traits you pride yourself on. You’re competent with technology, keen to learn about innovative products, and have had strong experience with the Microsoft Office suite - particularly Excel and PowerPoint. ·Experienced B2B salesperson 5+ years, who builds trust and closes deals ·Team player with strong communication skills who is confident, persuasive, and proactive ·Skilled at outbound prospecting and self-generating leads ·Not “just a salesperson” — more like a mini-GM for the accounts you handle, with some autonomy and strategic input You have proven gravitas to deal with operators and C-Suite ·You don’t just sell products, you solve real problems ·Not afraid of rejection and thrives on results ·Familiarity with CRM & ERP tools – Odoo / Hubspot experience is advantageous ·Able to competently produce bid packs and the associated commercials ·Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Packages, with bias towards Excel & PowerPoint ·Experience with data analysis and presentation of data to senior stakeholders and a customers ·Driving license A bit about us: We are a family-owned business with nearly 40 years of experience providing our customers with cleaning solutions and specialist advice.
