Role Overview
The role is within the Revenues Helpdesk, providing information and advice to callers regarding council tax or rent.
Contract & Working Pattern
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: 20 hours per week (Monday to Friday 13:00 – 17:00). Hours negotiable after training.
Location: Bankhead Central, Glenrothes. Blended working available after training.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: £29,170.80 – £31,761.26 (pro rata). Benefits include local and national discounts for supermarkets, restaurants, and retail.
Responsibilities
* Provide information and advice to callers regarding council tax or rent.
* Resolve customer enquiries, routine or complex, at first point of contact.
* Handle multiple call types while maintaining excellent customer service.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in customer service environment.
* Excellent customer service skills and communication, including written correspondence.
* Active listening skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Ability to use multiple IT systems.
* Excellent administrative skills.
Additional Requirements
* Obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland.
* Membership of the relevant PVG scheme.
