Joining Sanctuary Care means being part of an innovative organisation with ambitious growth plans. We invest in training, promote a strong teamwork ethic, and provide support to reach your potential. Our strength lies in the quality of our people and we employ those who share our value of keeping kindness at the heart of our care.

Are you commercially astute with a drive to achieve and exceed targets? Do you want to work in an environment where you’re able to support and make a real difference to people’s lives?

Our Business Development Managers are integral to the success and sustainability of our business — supporting our care homes to maintain and increase self-funder occupancy and income while having an up-to-date view on what our competitors are offering within the areas that we operate. Reporting into the Lead Business Development Manager, you will work collaboratively with our Regional and Home Managers as well as the central Marketing and Enquiry Team. You will ensure we’re able to run successful marketing campaigns, creating and maximising enquiry pipelines—building strong relationships with key stakeholders and the local community—to enable us to remain the provider of choice.

Responsibilities

* Develop and deliver consultative sales strategies to grow self-funder occupancy and revenue for Sanctuary Care’s care homes.
* Collaborate with Regional and Home Managers and the central Marketing and Enquiry Team to plan and execute marketing campaigns.
* Build and maintain relationships with local stakeholders and the community to maximise enquiry pipelines and convert enquiries into admissions.
* Monitor competitor offerings and market activity to inform pricing, services, and targeted outreach.

Qualifications

* Proven success in consultative sales, with a positive attitude and strong initiative.
* Strong business sense with sharp sales and marketing acumen.
* Flexible and adaptable to evolving business needs.
* Committed to delivering results with a client-focused mindset.
* Degree qualification or equivalent knowledge/experience in a sales-related environment is essential.
* Intermediate knowledge of Word and Excel (or similar).
* Willingness to travel and a full, current driving license.

Delivering relevant training is required, so strong communication skills are essential. Travel is required for this role; therefore, a full, current driving license is essential.

Your Financial Wellbeing

* Financial wellbeing support including access to affordable loans via Salary Finance and free mortgage advice.
* Exclusive discounts through our e-hub platform.
* Contributory pension plan, matched up to 7%.

Your Job

* 25 days annual leave (rising to a maximum of 30 days) plus bank holidays.
* Growth and development through comprehensive training and internal career opportunities.
* Opportunity to be part of inclusive staff networks (e.g., Parent Network and Disability Network).
