We are currently recruiting 1:1 Tutors to support pupils across Birmingham. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide personalised tuition to students in their homes or school settings during school hours, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive educational outcomes. About the Role As a 1:1 Tutor, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support, delivering tailored lessons that meet their individual learning needs. You will play a key role in building confidence, improving attainment, and encouraging engagement with education. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging and effective one-to-one tuition sessions. Plan and adapt lessons to suit each pupil's learning needs and abilities. Support pupils in achieving academic and personal development goals. Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress. Build positive relationships with pupils, families, and schools. Maintain accurate records and provide progress updates when required. Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times. Essential Requirements A minimum of 2 years' teaching experience in the UK. Strong curriculum knowledge and classroom experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience working with children and young people across a range of abilities. Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one). Right to work in the UK. Access to reliable transport and willingness to travel within Birmingham and surrounding areas. Desirable Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Previous tutoring experience. Experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, or those who are currently out of mainstream education.
