We are looking for experienced and ambitious **Skilled** **Shift** **PSV Mechanic** to join Arriva, based at our **Hemel Hempstead** depot. As a PSV Engineer, your role would involve carrying out planned and preventative maintenance along with diagnostic fault finding and reactive repairs to a fleet of commercially operated buses & coaches, to the strict standards set by both Arriva, and the DVSA. **What Arriva can offer you as a PSV Mechanic:*** £23 per hour * Overtime at time plus ½ for all additional hours worked over the working week. * Full-time, permanent contract. * Overtime availability. * 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays. * Fantastic career progression. * Free bus travel for you and a nominated member of your family * If you don't have a PCV licence, we teach you to drive a bus! * Arriva Village - Retail discounts and offers worth up to £1,200 per year * Arriva Wellbeing Service (Mental Health Support & Wellbeing Support. * Arriva Workplace Pension. **The role of a PSV Mechanic** **will involve:*** Servicing, maintenance and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards. * Continuous improvement of vehicle reliability. * MOT preparation, planned preventative maintenance campaigns and quality checks. * Vehicle fault diagnosis and ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to Arriva Standards (Higher than DVSA). * Attending roadside breakdowns. * Early/Day shift rota covering 5 out of 7 days Sunday to Saturday working with shift start patterns Day Shift: 8:30am – 4.30pm, Late Shift 2:00pm – 10:00pm **Requirements of a PSV Mechanic:*** Qualifications for PSV/HGV maintenance and repair - Minimum of NVQ level 3 or any equivalent international qualification (will require confirmation). * A full UK driving licence (6 points or less). * Ability to be passed fit for a PCV pre-employment medical. * APPLY NOW to join the Arriva team to help deliver our vision of providing clean, sustainable and reliable transport services to our customers for a greener future.
