Salary: £25,322 - £25,623 (pro-rata for part-time and sessional)
Hours: 16 per week, 38 weeks sessional
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 16:00 - 19:00, Friday 15:00 - 19:00
As a cleaner with the City of Edinburgh Council, you'll be a key member of our Facilities Management team. You'll deliver a vital cleaning service across our estate to ensure our properties are safe and clean places to work or learn in. Major Tasks/Job Activities:
* Empty litter and recycling bins.
* Clean all surfaces, internal glass, floors, furniture, fixtures, and fittings within a group of buildings.
* Clean all sanitary areas, toilets, and showers and replenish washroom consumables.
* Perform emergency and reactive cleaning as required, e.g., graffiti removal, spillages.
* Maintain the care and cleanliness of all equipment used.
* Support cleaning tasks across other buildings as needed.
* Deliver to cleaning specifications and cooperate with performance measurement to meet standards.
*Facilities Management is responsible for keyholding to enable opening and closing of buildings. The post requires being a key holder to operate security alarms, secure premises, and ensure safety when closing.
