We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team. As a Mechanical Day Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of processing assets, mechanical systems, and site infrastructure.
Your primary responsibilities will include performing planned and reactive maintenance on these assets, using a centralised maintenance management system effectively, coordinating sub-contractor activities, providing maintenance and operational support as needed, monitoring, recording, and reporting on asset and infrastructure performance, and assisting with project-related activities.
You will also be responsible for maintaining and organising the engineering workshop and related areas, following company safety, health, environmental, and quality policies and procedures, keeping work areas clean and organised, communicating effectively through handovers and shift logbooks, administering safe systems of work (PTW & LOTO procedures), and using company business systems efficiently.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A recognised apprenticeship in a relevant discipline (Mechanical Engineering) to ONC/HNC Level
* Ability to effectively manage work schedules in a timely manner
* Proven track record of working to deadlines and under pressure
* Evidence of working in an organised manner
* Demonstrated ability to use effective problem-solving techniques
* Excellent communication skills at all levels, both written and verbal
* In-depth knowledge of preventative, predictive, and lifecycle maintenance activities
