Purchasing and Stock Coordinator – Swinton – PERMANENT FULL TIME – £25k – £30k doe
Forrest Recruitment Ltd is currently working with a large international company who are looking to recruit an experienced Purchasing and Stock Coordinator;
Responsibilities of the role include:
1. Liaising with the Sales, Finance and Logistics departments
2. Optimising inventory of 4,000 units
3. Supporting with the implementation of purchasing strategies
4. Processing orders through to invoicing
5. Creating purchase orders
6. Liaising with international clients
7. Communicating with suppliers regarding orders, delivery schedules and pricing
8. Arranging returns
9. Organising the most cost effective methods of import shipments
10. Managing stock inventory
11. Creating weekly/monthly reports on pricing, stock shortages, back orders
12. Generating reports on freight uplifts and freight cost management
Working hours of 9am – 5.30pm, Monday – Thursday and 9am – 4.30pm on Fridays.
To be successful you will have a strong background in Administration and want to learn and progress within a stock/purchasing role, have the ability to work under pressure and be confident working independently and making your own decisions. You will also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to enable you to communicate with team members and suppliers. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience of working within a small team will be beneficial for this role. Use of CRM systems is essential.
