Senior Electrical Engineer – High Rise

Join our High Rise Spearhead Department – a small but dynamic, global team that strives to be creative thinkers with design excellence and thought leadership. We focus on designs using a highly digital and visual approach, working on a wide variety of projects with signature architects both in London and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
* Electrical delivery on high rise and/or complex projects.
* Undertake and oversee design work from concept through to detailed design ensuring technical excellence, always maintaining outstanding levels of client service.
* Complete and present designs in a highly visual and graphical style.
* Act in the capacity of Lead Electrical Designer, to co‑ordinate the tasks so all deadlines are met.
* React quickly to client and architectural requirements for plant space, riser requirements and energy strategies.
* Be involved in competitions where innovative thinking is required.
* Have a sustainable mindset to develop and embed sustainable principals within our designs.
* Manage and mentor junior staff within our discipline, contributing to their development.
First 12–24 Months Deliverables
* Become an integral part of the high rise team taking responsibility for electrical design of projects.
* Ensure technical quality in electrical design output.
* Help deliver projects profitably and to the satisfaction of our clients.
* Support existing high rise projects.
Required Experience and Skills
* Qualified Engineer with 8–10 years experience and a proven track record in your core discipline and a working knowledge of complimentary disciplines.
* Degree level education in a relevant engineering discipline.
* Honours degree accredited by CIBSE / IET / IMechE Engineering Council.
* Chartered Engineer or working towards IEng or CEng status.
* Appreciation of commercial and technical risks and ability to act appropriately upon them.
* Interest or experience using digital and parametric design tools.
* Expertise in Revit – essential, with skills in Rhino and Grasshopper preferred.
* Expertise in a wide range of electrical design software.
* HV experience and knowledge beneficial.
* Portfolio demonstrating creative thinking, flair and broad range of technical skills – illustrating the ability to produce complex engineering designs and manage complex geometries.
* Ability to present engineering concepts to a high standard of visual and graphic design.
* Excellent spoken and written English for document writing and client‑facing presentations and workshops.
* Prepared for international project work.
