Job Description
Reporting directly to the Head of Group Reporting, the Group Reporting Accountant, will be responsible for:
* Production and review of quality monthly financial reporting packs, including full P&L, detailed balance sheet reconciliations and statement of cash flows in accordance with the Radius Group timetable.
* Lead the group-wide intercompany reconciliation and settlement processes for loans, loan interest and trading balances.
* Ensure the Groups’ intercompany loans all comply with the relevant agreements and produce the interest calculation to a high degree of accuracy.
* Support the Group Reporting Manager with the production of the Group consolidation under IFRS through the production of reconciliations and detailed workings to validate the Group financials.
* Take ownership of entities within the Group Holding stack. Produce monthly management accounts and provide high quality commentary and variance analysis to the financials.
* Assist with audits, corporate tax returns and statutory submissions
* Challenge the existing reporting and controls providing proactive assistance, support and guidance to the team, to drive continuous improvement and efficiencies
* Support in business improvement projects, as directed and as identified, autonomously.
Support the growth and capability of trainee accountants within the team, fostering consistent excellence and professional development.
Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years’ experience of working in a Finance related role
* Studying towards or qualified ACA professional
* Technical accounting skills
* Advanced Excel skills – including experience of creating and using Pivot Tables and V-Look Up
* Experience of fostering strong working relationships within the finance team and across the organisation.
* Experience of using Sage X3 accounting systems and/or financial consolidation systems would be desirable
