4 hours a week term time, 8 hours a week holidays. Mileage rate to be confirmed.

We are looking for a personal assistant for our lovely son, who is 7 years old. He is on the Autistic Spectrum and is non-verbal. The purpose of the role is to take him out to activities he enjoys such as swimming and soft-play. Experience of working with children who are on the Autistic Spectrum and are non-verbal is preferred. This is a rewarding, long term role for the right person.

Duties include:
Eating and drinking assistance
Other relevant duties as required
Transportation
Companionship
Dressing / undressing
Bathroom assistance

Candidate qualities:
Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
Reliable with good timekeeping
Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
Hygienic, tidy and well organised
Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
Honest and cheerful
Creative
Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
Must be comfortable with pets
Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

Additional requirements
Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
