Overview
Business Support Officer/Personal Assistant B6 role with NHS Scotland. This is a permanent position based at JB Russell House, Gartnavel Royal Hospital, supporting the Chief Executive of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and the Deputy Chief Executive, with line management responsibility for the Corporate PA team.
Responsibilities
* Provide high-level Personal Assistant support to senior leaders, manage a fast-paced and confidential workload, and demonstrate discretion and diplomacy in a confidential setting.
* Deliver comprehensive secretarial and administrative support across a wide portfolio of high-profile work programmes, using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
* Interact with a broad range of stakeholders including Senior Management Team, Directors, Clinicians, Operational Managers, Non-Executive Board Members, government offices, MSPs/MPs/MEPs, partner agencies, and others to promote a positive image of the organisation.
* Manage competing priorities at Board/senior management level and coordinate arrangements to support senior leadership across the organisation.
* Assist in administrative services for the Chief Executive and Deputy Chief Executive and provide line management to the Corporate PA team.
Qualifications and Experience
* Recognition in Administration equivalent to a Degree in Secretarial Studies or Business Administration, or significant relevant equivalent experience.
* Strong organisational ability, with excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills.
* Proven track record of operating at Senior Management/Board level in a busy organisation with competing priorities.
* Experience in a demanding PA, Team Secretary, or Administrative Officer role within an NHS, public, or large multisite organisation.
Requirements and Skills
* High proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
* Flexible, highly organised, and capable of effective communication and collaboration internally and externally.
