Planned Heating Engineer
Base location: Norwich, travel throughout Norfolk and North Suffolk required.
Salary: £41,030 per annum with progression to £43,530 depending on qualifications and relevant experience. Company van and power tools provided.
Employment type: Full time, 40 hours per week. Permanent.
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Heating Engineer to join our West Local Delivery Team. This role ensures that repairs, servicing and breakdowns are carried out with timely efficiency and high standards, maintaining our homes to a high standard and providing excellent service to our tenants while fulfilling our legal obligations.
Duties include but are not limited to:
* Work as part of the Planned Asset Operations Directorate to maintain the association’s properties to required standards.
* Complete planned heating installations of gas, oil and renewable systems, ensuring new boilers and system installations are carried out efficiently, effectively and to customer satisfaction.
* Ensure installations comply with association procedures and latest regulations.
* Manage and prioritise own workload day‑to‑day with regard to the planned programme and scheduled work.
* Carry out reactive works and provide support when needed.
About you
The successful candidate will have experience as a qualified Heating Engineer and will hold CCN1, CENWAT, CPA1, CKR1, UVHWS and EEDH qualifications as well as being Gas Safe Registered.
Beneficial experience includes working within social housing, renewable heating systems (ASHP, solar thermal, HR, MVHR). The candidate should be IT literate, possess good literacy and numeracy skills and excellent communication skills. A driving licence and DBS Check are essential requirements.
