Role Overview

Senior / Associate Project Manager in the Buildings team within the Health Market across London, Cardiff, and Bristol.

As a Senior/Associate Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects through the RIBA Stages, acting as the integrator of multidiscipline teams, and working on a variety of projects across a diverse Health Portfolio.


Senior Project Management Services

* Advising the client to help them define the strategic brief, including goals and objectives of the project
* Supporting the client to establish and procure the project team
* Defining the project success factors including time, cost, quality, environmental, and social outcomes
* Defining and agreeing project governance structure aligned to client and legislative requirements
* Producing a detailed project execution plan that outlines how the project will be managed
* Establishing reporting requirements and production of progress reports
* Leading and acting as an integrator of multidiscipline services at all stages of the project life cycle
* Establishing and managing the change control process
* Monitoring and advising upon project performance against success indicators
* Implementing performance management techniques, including the use of KPIs to improve project performance
* Establishing a communication strategy and information management plan and implementing this across the project, managing the interface between all parties and the client
* Team leadership, including managing and mentoring members of the team across multiple projects


Internal Project Management and Business Development Services

* Managing commissions in accordance with the BMS process
* Overseeing resourcing and commercial performance of commissions, managing risk and maximising opportunities
* Capturing project capability and value evidence through case studies and client feedback
* Supporting account leaders to develop new opportunities for the business, including cross‑selling solutions to help clients overcome challenges
* Managing bids through the WIN process
* Driving innovation to support efficiency and quality of service delivery


Qualifications

* Demonstrable relevant project management experience in the Health Sector as a consultant or working for NHS / Health providers
* Demonstrable knowledge and application of pre‑ and post‑contract project management and contract management methodologies
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a larger team
* Membership of MAPM / MRICS / MCIOB or equivalent Chartered Professional and working towards ChPP / FRICS / FCIOB or equivalent
* Relationship building skills – ability to build strong relationships with clients, teams and stakeholders as well as building and maintaining networks of business contacts
* Ability to manage and lead teams to maximise performance
* Willingness to mentor and coach junior members of the team to support career progression and chartership
* Excellent oral and written communication and organisational skills
* Soft skills including self‑motivation, taking initiative, leadership, adaptability and flexibility, effective listening, collaboration, influence and persuasion, insightfulness
* Drive to innovate and implement best practice
* Working knowledge of delivery models and technical requirements for healthcare projects (e.g., HTMs and HBNs)
