Position Facilities Director Permanent Up to £77,901 depending on experience Location within one of our existing sites with facilities responsibilities: Exeter, Newcastle, London, or Manchester, plus travel to other sites Band F This is a chance to take on a wide-ranging facilities leadership role with real impact. INTO University Partnerships is looking for a Facilities Director to lead the way in how we manage and maintain our estates, a mix of academic buildings, student accommodation, and offices across the UK - each with their own demands. It's a hands-on role that covers everything from day-to-day facilities management to long-term planning and strategy. As Facilities Director, you'll be responsible for making sure our spaces run smoothly, safely and efficiently, while also planning for the long termThat means overseeing a knowledgeable internal team and contractors, keeping tight control of budgets, and making sure we're meeting all our legal and health and safety obligations. You'll be the go-to person for anything facilities-related, working closely with our head office, Centre Directors, and University partners. A typical week might involve reviewing long-term capital plans, resolving a facilities issue at one of our student residences, ensuring contractor performance is up to standard, and checking we're meeting all our statutory responsibilities, from health and safety to environmental compliance. You'll also lead on sustainability and efficiency initiatives, helping us reduce waste, manage our carbon footprint, and improve how we use space and energy across the estate. You'll be managing budgets, setting performance standards, and keeping a close eye on value for money. You'll take responsibility for risk management, drive improvements across the portfolio, and make sure our buildings are places where students and staff feel safe, supported and able to focus on what matters. There's a strong operational element to the job, but also plenty of scope to shape the estate strategy and influence how we work in the future. Requirements You'll need to be confident managing buildings, people, suppliers, and systems, and just as comfortable handling the details as you are thinking ahead. You'll be part of a collaborative senior team.
