Job Opportunity: Cancer Audit & Performance Manager

An opportunity has arisen within the Cancer Audit & Performance Team for a Cancer Audit & Performance Manager. The role involves leading the team, utilizing specialised knowledge to ensure complete and accurate data on all newly diagnosed cancer cases in Fife, and analysing, reporting, and utilising audit results in line with national standards.

Cancer services within NHS Scotland are obliged to provide accurate and complete data within tight deadlines for analysis and measurement of clinical effectiveness targets, such as quality performance indicators, weekly monitoring, and cancer waiting times. You will line manage the Cancer Audit & Performance Team and support NHS Fife's Cancer Framework, clinical audit, MDT Coordination, cancer pathway management, and the Single Point of Contact Hub. Collaboration with the Acute Operating Division and regional networks will be essential to advance the cancer agenda.

This role requires building effective relationships with staff at all levels and external bodies to ensure timely and objective-driven information delivery.

For informal enquiries, contact Alison Robertson, Cancer Services Improvement Manager, at 01383 623623 ext 22632 or via email at alison.robertson11@nhs.scot.

NHS Fife is legally obliged to verify that all employees have the right to work in the UK. Applicants must confirm their eligibility to work in their application. Pre-employment checks will include verification of the right to work, which can be demonstrated through visas or settled/pre-settled status. Further details are available on the GOV.UK website.

Applicants without the necessary UK work rights may consider sponsorship options through a UK Skilled Worker/Health & Care Worker Visa, subject to employer licensing and salary thresholds. It is crucial to confirm eligibility before submitting your application.

From 1 April 2025, this role may require a different level of criminal records check, including potential PVG scheme membership for regulated roles. Changes will be confirmed by the Hiring Manager or Recruitment Team. For more information, visit: Disclosure Scotland Changes.

We support flexible working, family-friendly policies, and make reasonable adjustments for disabled, long-term conditions, or neurodivergent candidates.

NHS Scotland values diversity and equality, encouraging applications from all societal sections to foster a representative and respectful workforce.
