Shifts include 8am - 5pm, 1pm - 10pm & 10pm - 8am
Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within Enable, making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. Your main responsibility will be to support Kieran to achieve his goals and outcomes, whatever they may be.
Kieran’s team of Personal Assistants will work collaboratively to ensure his safety, wellbeing and aspirations are met. The role is aimed at helping Kieran enjoy his interests – music, gaming, visiting his family and friends – while managing his daily care and health needs.
Responsibilities
* Assist Kieran with personal care, moving and handling, and meeting health needs
* Maintain Kieran’s home environment and support household tasks
* Facilitate daily physiotherapy and other health appointments
* Help Kieran stay connected to family and friends
* Assist with expanding his social networks and community experiences
* Support Kieran in accessing and enjoying leisure activities such as music events and fishing trips
* Ensure a respectful, caring and supportive environment at all times
About You
You show a genuine interest in Kieran’s hobbies and a strong commitment to supporting individuals with learning disabilities. You bring empathy, patience and a willingness to learn and grow in a social care setting.
Qualifications
No prior care experience is required. We recruit people based on values and transferable skills. If you are motivated, dedicated and eager to support a person with a traumatic brain injury, you are a good fit for this role.
