Thorpe CofE Primary School seeks a KS2 Teaching Assistant to provide support in Year Three Class for 13 hours each week. The hours of work are Monday, Thursday and Friday from 8.40am to 1.15pm with a 15 minute unpaid morning break. This is a term time only contract commencing as soon as possible. Experience is desirable but not essential - training will be given.
Under the direction and supervision of the class teacher core responsibilities include:
1. Working as an TA in Year Three Class
2. Following the instructions of the class teacher
3. Planning and prioritising tasks
4. Clarifying and explaining instructions
5. Communicating effectively
6. Motivating pupils to learn
7. Organising the learning environment
Key Accountabilities will be:
8. Assisting in the delivery of day to day learning activities
9. Discussing with and reporting back to teacher on the planning and assessment of the pupil’s work
10. Organising and maintaining the learning environment
11. Working as part of a team
12. Maintaining confidentiality inside and outside the workplace
13. Understanding and applying school policies

The TA may be required to undertake any other reasonable tasks as required by the class teacher
Successful applicants must be able to support the distinctive Christian ethos of our school but do not have to be a practising Christian.
