Job Description Communicate Technology is on the lookout for a proactive and customer-focused First Line Engineer to join our technical support team at our Wynyard HQ.
As the first point of contact for our users, you’ll play a vital role in helping resolve IT issues efficiently — from password resets to troubleshooting Windows 11 problems — ensuring our clients can get back to doing what they do best.
What you’ll be doing:
Provide 1st line support via phone, email, and remote tools
Troubleshoot issues across Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory
Assist with user rights, accounts, passwords, and basic security administration
Handle technical queries and service requests, escalating when needed
Keep users updated and deliver outstanding customer service
Log, manage, and resolve incidents in line with SLA agreements
What we’re looking for:
At least 1 year of experience in IT support or system administration
Experience supporting Microsoft Windows 10/11
Basic understanding of networking (ping, trace route, etc.)
Familiarity with Active Directory and Microsoft 365 admin tasks
Great communication skills – able to translate tech into plain English
