Job Summary

Schedule for Post 1:
* Week 1: 8.30am – 4.30pm, Monday to Wednesday (1 hour for lunch)
* Week 2: 8.30am – 4.30pm, Monday & Tuesday (1 hour for lunch)
Schedule for Post 2:
* Week 1: 8.30am – 4.30pm, Thursday & Friday (1 hour for lunch)
* Week 2: 8.30am – 4.30pm, Wednesday to Friday (1 hour for lunch)
Locations include Early Years and Primary schools within the Turnbull cluster, Council Offices, or Home.
Salary will be pro-rated for part-time hours. This position is temporary; the permanent role is advertised separately (EAD08531).
We seek an enthusiastic, flexible, and self-motivated individual to join the School Support Coordinator Team within the Education Department. The role involves a mobile working style, including working from home, Council offices, and schools.
Main responsibilities include delivering administrative and finance support within primary school clusters, advising and supporting Head Teachers and senior staff on financial and administrative matters.
Key duties include monitoring school budgets, recruitment and selection procedures, line management, and training of school office staff. The role involves liaising with various managers across departments regarding financial administration.
Candidates should have a good standard of education and extensive experience in finance or administration, preferably within a school or educational setting. An HND or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline is desirable. Travel between schools and base location is required.
This is not a term-time-only position. The role is subject to a PVG check. Applicants interested in both positions should indicate this on their application.

All roles within East Dunbartonshire Council requiring PVG/Disclosure checks will follow the outlined criteria. Successful candidates must join the PVG Scheme or undergo an update check before employment confirmation. The cost of the check will be deducted from the first salary payment or in installments, subject to approval. If employment ends before deduction, the full amount will be deducted from the final salary.
