Senior Quantity Surveyor
About the role
We are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join a construction company in the Yorkshire Area.
This is a full-time role with a competitive salary.
Within this Quantity Surveyor role, you will be responsible for the overall commercial management of multiple construction schemes. You will work independently and/or guide a small team, ensuring projects are delivered within budget while maintaining contractual compliance.

Responsibilities
5. Provide commercial support to site and project managers
6. Monitor and update project costs, reviewing monthly financial forecasts against actual costs
7. Manage subcontractor procurement from inception to completion
8. Conduct valuations, certifications, and approvals of subcontractor payments
9. Guide operational teams on cost estimation processes and contract requirements
10. Report directly to clients and managers, presenting valuation reports and cost estimates
11. Tender and negotiate contracts, estimating target costs and preparing contract documents
12. Effectively manage colleagues and contribute to training and developing junior surveyors
Requirements
13. HND in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
14. Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent (desirable)
15. Minimum of five years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor with knowledge of construction processes
16. Experience working with various contracts (e.g. JCT, NEC)
17. Strong understanding of contractual terms and conditions for sub-contracts and main contracts
18. Proficient in MS Office
19. Valid UK driving licence
20. Valid CSCS card
