Teaching Assistant (Part-Time, Temporary) Newcastle-upon-Tyne (Gosforth area) £13 - £15 per hour (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications) September 2025 – December 2025 The School and Role We are looking for a part-time Teaching Assistant on behalf of a large, community-focused primary school in the Gosforth area of Newcastle. The successful Teaching Assistant will be expected to deliver both general as well as one-to-one support, working as part of an established team. The role would be Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 12pm. This school operates within an ethos emphasising both caring and quality support to deliver an excellent pupil development programme. The school is ideally seeking a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant, however would be open to other teaching qualifications and experience if relevant. Requirements The desired Teaching Assistant will have; Experience of working with primary school aged children Experience of working with children with SEND needs A passion for ensuring the progress of pupils An ability to work as part of a team Ideally Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, however other relevant teaching qualifications and experience is applicable What we offer As a Teaching Assistant, part of our team, you benefit from: Excellent hourly rates paid using the PAYE system.
