Course Overview
Our Certificate in Dental Radiology programme is suitable for all qualified Dental Nurses, Therapists and Hygienists required to x‑ray patients under the direction of a dentist. The programme lasts 6–12 months and meets the CPD requirements set out by the General Dental Council.
What You Will Learn
The curriculum, approved by the British Society of Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology (BSDMFR), covers the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to take common radiographs safely and to comply with legislation.
Eligibility
* Qualified as a Dental Nurse, Therapist or Dental Hygienist
* Registered with the General Dental Council
* Supported by an employing dentist who can act as supervisor and validate workplace activities for the Record of Competence
* Registered with an approved Training Provider
