About the role
Our mission is simple: we develop individual excellence, embrace opportunities, and build communities with Gospel values at the heart. St John Plessington Catholic College is at an exciting time in its history as we open a resourced provision centre in September 2025. The provision focuses on supporting secondary-aged students with a primary need of Autism or Social Communication Differences who have an EHCP. Working with HFCMAT, we seek to appoint a passionate, dedicated, and determined SEND teacher to help build an inclusive centre of excellence.
The role involves working with and delivering a range of subjects within the resourced provision. You will be supported by a team of TAs and College leaders.
We need someone who:
* Has a passion for helping pupils with significant challenges, believing that with suitable support, students can thrive.
* Has a 'can do' attitude and is keen to create hands-on learning experiences.
* Is willing to think creatively to engage learners and bring learning to life for students with Education Health Care Plans.
You will need to be resilient and prepared for the unique challenges of this role. Your work will have a transformative impact on lives.
As this is a new role, we welcome applications from candidates with a range of experience, including primary and SEND specialist settings. Successful applicants will be part of building this great provision.
Through HFCMAT, we offer various CPD opportunities to enhance staff skills within the resourced provision.
We seek someone who shares our mission and embodies our vision of 'Work Together; Succeed Together' daily. Your attitude is more important than formal qualifications; experience in specialist settings is not mandatory.
In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education, Holy Family Multi Academy Trust will conduct online searches for shortlisted candidates, including social media and video platforms. Only publicly available data will be examined, and any concerns will be discussed during interviews.
The Trust is committed to equal opportunities regardless of age, disability, marital status, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, or pregnancy/maternity. All applicants must prove their right to work in the UK.
To apply, send a covering letter, completed application form, and recruitment documents to recruitment@hfcmat.com. Mark applications for the attention of Mr P McLoughlin, Headteacher. For more information, visit the ‘Vacancies’ section on our website www.stjohnplessington.com. Please note, applications may close early if a high volume is received.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All staff and volunteers are expected to share this commitment and take individual responsibility for it.
