Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our financial team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the accounts department by managing various financial tasks, ensuring accuracy in data entry, and assisting with accounts payable processes. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounting software and a keen eye for detail.
Duties
* Assist with accounts payable by processing invoices and ensuring timely payments
* Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently within accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft
* Maintain organised financial records and documentation to support audits and compliance
* Collaborate with team members to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
* Utilise Workday for managing financial transactions and reporting
* Support the preparation of financial statements and reports as required
* Provide administrative support to the finance team, including filing and correspondence
Experience
* Previous experience in a similar role within the financial services sector is desirable
* Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft is essential
* Familiarity with accounts payable processes and general accounting principles
* Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
* Strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders
