Job Summary
The IT Manager will be responsible for implementing IT strategies, delivering IT services, and ensuring the integrity and security of all IT infrastructure. The role is strategic and practical, supported by a part-time IT Support Technician reporting to the IT Manager.
Management of our IT Service Provider and additional hardware and software suppliers will be key in delivering seamless, responsive, and efficient IT services, measured by key SLA metrics aligned with ITIL practices.
Key Responsibilities
1. Define IT policies and enforce adoption.
2. Deliver to SLA targets, identify trends, and seek improvement opportunities.
3. Ensure high availability of critical systems and own the business continuity plan.
4. Oversee proactive monitoring and maintenance of IT infrastructure, working with our external IT service partner.
5. Coordinate with suppliers for hardware and software provisioning.
6. Protect and track all IT assets.
7. Manage and develop IT infrastructure for corporate offices.
8. Promote a focus on IT security.
9. Document and refine global IT processes to ensure consistency and sustainability.
10. Monitor and control subscription and license costs for value and wastage reduction.
11. Handle major incidents, including communication with internal teams and suppliers.
12. Manage the lifecycle of hardware, software, and network assets such as DNS addresses and certificates.
13. Oversee the lifecycle of MS Active Directory objects (user accounts, security groups, etc.).
Skills & Experience
* IT service management professional with ITIL v4 Foundation or equivalent qualification.
* Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, and systems administration.
* Experience with Microsoft products including Windows OS, Active Directory, and Office 365.
* IT security knowledge; relevant certifications are advantageous.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage expectations.
* Process-driven with a passion for continuous improvement.
* Problem-solving skills with clear communication.
* High customer satisfaction focus through efficient resource use and communication skills.
* Pragmatic approach aligned with business objectives.
* Understanding of the business impact of IT issues.

* Desirable technical skills: Azure, Servers, Device Management, Hyper-V, VMWare, Networking, Security, Backup/DR, Project Management.
Location & Reporting Line
The role is based in Bristol and reports to the Director of Global Operations. Occasional travel to The Netherlands is required. Hybrid working arrangements are available.
Hours
Standard hours are 9 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour lunch break (37.5 hours/week). Overtime may occasionally be required for critical tasks outside normal hours.
