The Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) team within Financial Control supports embedding a strong risk management culture and overseeing the first line of defence in responsibilities. This is a great time to join as we develop risk and control capabilities further.
What you’ll be doing
1. Supporting teams across Finance to ensure the financial reporting control framework is appropriate, documented, and assessed to standards.
2. Developing and delivering a robust testing framework to ensure management focuses on achieving standards, identifying control improvements, monitoring responses, and ensuring actions are taken.
3. Planning and performing testing of reporting controls, documenting processes, identifying key controls, and enabling reperformance as needed.
4. Ensuring assurance and review activities are captured according to the team’s methodology.
5. Delivering assurance coverage to professional standards, demonstrating accountability for quality.
We need you to have
* Experience in external/internal audit or risk management.
* Report writing and analysis skills.
* Proven track record in enhancing control environments and reporting.
* Experience managing stakeholders at all levels, especially senior stakeholders.
It’s a bonus if you have but not essential
* ICAS or equivalent 3+ years post-qualified experience.
* Experience with financial reporting controls.
* Experience in process mapping and controls testing within audit or control teams.
