The Role
The General Assistant role works within the Housekeeping and Kitchen teams, assisting with the day‑to‑day operations of the home. The role goes beyond preparing and serving meals; you will support the dietary needs of our residents, maintain a clean environment, and ensure that our kitchens, housekeeping, and laundry functions run smoothly.
Main Responsibilities
* Ensure the expected standards are achieved throughout the home.
* Cover domestic, kitchen and laundry duties with training in all three areas provided.
* Identify and report any damage, faults or other issues to maintenance or management.
* Adhere to the cleaning and auditing schedule.
* Use and store cleaning products in accordance with COSHH regulations.
* Undertake any other duties reasonably required as designated by the Home Manager.

Required Criteria
* Numerate and literate with a good standard of English.
* Right to work in the UK.
* Basic knowledge of COSHH, Health and Safety, Fire and Security regulations.
* Previous experience in a relevant role.
Desired Criteria
* Relevant work experience in a care home or healthcare environment.
* Experience in a domestic, laundry or kitchen environment.
