The Opportunity
We are looking for a Construction Manager to join our Hartlepool Projects Team on a permanent basis, based at Hartlepool Station. As our Construction Manager, you will work closely with the Hartlepool Project Delivery Team, Defueling, and Deconstruction Team, although support to other activities may also be undertaken.
You will be managing and coordinating several major projects from inception through to completion, while managing a team of engineers.
Pay, benefits and culture
We can offer a competitive salary from £45,045 to £110,723 and you’ll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Nuclear Company Agreement as well as your competencies, experience and qualifications. This is a full-time, site-based position.

What you will be doing
As the Construction Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring safety, environmental, and quality procedures and policies are followed, complying with legislative and regulatory requirements. You will coordinate all construction activities and personnel at site, including Field Supervision, and manage any Project Engineer involved in construction activities.
Who you are
You will have at least an HNC in engineering or equivalent, with a safety management qualification (e.g., NEBOSH). You should have relevant project management/delivery experience, knowledge of HSE and CDM legislation, and experience managing projects through full lifecycle in complex environments. Experience managing diverse teams, controlling costs, negotiating claims, and ensuring smooth project transitions is essential.
Role-specific training will be provided. Applicants must obtain CTC level vetting and meet UK security vetting criteria, including residency requirements.
