PROJECT MANAGER - Structures and Pavements

As our company grows and develops, we are ever expanding our Teams. We have a great opportunity for a dedicated office based Project Manager to join our Infrastructure Division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.
We are looking for a proactive, reliable and flexible Project Manager to join our Structures & Pavements Team. As a member of Structures & Pavements, you will be exposed to a range of unique projects across the country. It is key that you have the balance to be driven and independent, as well as being a strong team player. A background in project management and knowledge of the industry are essential in order to thrive in this role.
The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):
* Managing projects from quotation stage through to completion of report
* Quoting site works in line with SOCOTEC UK procedures
* Manage site work programme with other office based Project Managers
* Oversee procurement of sub-contract services
* Compilation of Risk Assessment and Method Statements to SOCOTEC UK standards
* Review commercial documents relating to projects
* Ensure SOCOTEC UK projects are completed in line with UKAS Accreditations and in-house procedures
* Arranging equipment / materials for smooth running of team
* Contribute in assistance of training for new and current site team members
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
* Minimum 3 years experience within the material testing industry or a project management role
* Ability to motivate self and team members to achieve goal
* Commercial and contract awareness
* Reliable and diligent with a flexible approach to work
* Willing to learn
* Results focus individual. Prepared to work additional hours and be able to work under pressure at times when required to meet client deadlines.
* Customer/ client focused
* Respects client confidentiality
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* Full driving licence
About Structures & Pavements
Our Structures & Pavements Team perform an extensive range of testing, investigation and condition surveys across a wide range of UK Infrastructure assets including highways, rail, airfields, ports and harbours, power stations, sports stadia in addition to building investigations across Industrial, Commercial and Residential properties.
