About the Role
SGS Forest High School are seeking to appoint an ambitious, creative and highly motivated Performing Arts Teacher to work across both the Music and Drama departments. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an exceptional teacher to contribute to two thriving subject areas.
The successful candidate will teach both Music and Drama. They will play a central role in the wider cultural life of the school, contributing to the extensive programme of performances, concerts, productions and enrichment opportunities which are a defining feature of SGS Forest High School.
We are looking for a teacher who combines excellent classroom practice with creativity, warmth, high expectations and a genuine passion for performance. The successful candidate will be someone who is excited by the opportunity to work collaboratively across both departments and help further strengthen the school’s already outstanding performing arts provision.
The Candidate
We are looking for an individual who:
5. Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong academic background in Performing Arts.
6. Demonstrates secure subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Drama and Music.
7. Is committed to delivering consistently effective classroom practice.
8. Understands and values evidence-informed pedagogy and curriculum design.
9. Is aligned with the school’s ambition to secure excellent outcomes for all students, including those with SEND.
10. Thrives in a collaborative, high-expectation environment.
11. Is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
