Role Overview: Engineering Technician
The Engineering Technician provides professional support for the Steriles Business Unit, ensuring compliance with business and regulatory standards, overseeing all engineering activities related to production.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate and maintain equipment for manufacturing, filling, inspection, and packaging of syringes and vials.
* Perform shift work, including repairs, PPM, and maintenance activities.
* Support projects, product launches, and change controls, ensuring GMP and safety documentation is maintained.
* Manage SAP/MERPS activities like Work Orders, Notifications, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Supervise contractors, ensure GMP standards are met, and calibrate equipment.
* Oversee building infrastructure, including maintenance of air compressors, VHP, and refrigeration systems, maintaining compliance with site procedures.
Candidate Requirements:
Basic Skills:
* Industry-recognized apprenticeship with post-apprenticeship experience; HNC in Engineering or equivalent.
* Experience with GSK/pharmaceutical processes and SAP systems.
* Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams in complex environments.
* Knowledge of cGMP and GMP environments.
Preferred Skills:
* Experience in classified areas like ISO 5 or ISO 7.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to plan, execute, and meet goals under pressure.
