What you will do The Quality Assurance Team ensures that the Housing Service is compliant with all legal and regulatory responsibilities. The team leads on delivering improvements, undertaking quality checks and acting as a critical friend for service performance. As a Quality Assurance and Standards Officer, you will: Support the Housing Service to prepare for future inspections from the Regulator of Social Housing Keep the service informed of regulatory requirements, legislative changes, national policy and sector best practice Hold teams to account against compliance expectations Lead projects to develop, review and monitor strategies, policies and processes across the Housing Service Ensure key housing functions meet required standards and deliver safe, effective and efficient services Work with staff at all levels to drive improvements that prioritise the safety, experience and satisfaction of tenants and leaseholders This is a role where you will directly influence how Brent delivers high-quality housing services to its residents. We are looking for someone with Excellent facilitation skills and the ability to quickly analyse complex issues using a wide evidence base The ability to explain findings clearly and simply to a range of audiences including managers, staff and tenants Strong relationship-building skills to quickly establish rapport and support collaborative problem solving A structured approach to policy, service review and compliance monitoring A commitment to improving outcomes for tenants, leaseholders and communities Experience working in housing, regulatory compliance, quality assurance or local government would be beneficial Why join us?
