Our Grantham based client is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop customer products for the auto industry.
Duties include;
•Creation of design and assembly drawings.
•Produce BDM for special products and procurement.
•Assist clients and engineers with telephone support.
•Update technical documents and manuals when needed.
•Liaise with planning team to ensure timely project fulfilment.
The successful Design Engineer must be proficient in the use of Autodesk/ Inventor/SolidWorks and intermediate Word and Excel skills. Min HND or equivalent or two years plus a sound mechanical background and fabricated assembly and sheet metalwork. Hydraulic and Electrical knowledge would be helpful but is not essential.
