Overview
As a Senior Carer at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Every member of our team understands that residents are people with their own stories, and by joining us you’ll have an opportunity to give something back.
Main duties of the job
For you, that will mean planning and implementing the kind of care that gives residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence. You’ll be a positive influence on the care team. Whether you are showing someone how to use a walking frame, assisting someone at the end of life, or speaking with a resident’s family on the phone, you’ll do so with kindness above all.
Job responsibilities
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, you will:
* Lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain high standards of care; be a real influence on the team.
* Get to know residents and their families to deliver truly personalised care plans.
* Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, and in administering medication.
* Maintain accurate records of your work and build strong relationships with the team.
* Work towards Level 3 qualification in Adult Social Care or equivalent if you have completed Level 2 Diploma/SNVQ in Adult Social Care; have a background in person-centered care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
* Ensure time management is effective and communicate with residents and co-workers with genuine kindness.
Hours may include night shifts. We offer Bank, part-time or full-time contracts.
About HC-One
At HC-One, kindness is more than a word. It is a belief that caring for people means caring about what matters most to them so we can support them to lead their best possible life.
To provide the kindest possible care, there are 5 qualities that every HC-One team member shows up with and coaches in each other every day. We call these the 5 qualities: Kindness the HC-One Way — we are curious, compassionate, creative, courageous, and we can always be counted on.
We champion inclusivity and a diverse, inclusive workforce that represents the communities we serve. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility; all colleagues attend safeguarding training and undertake additional training as appropriate, and you should report concerns as needed.
